But when he meets Sonia, a Kosovar immigrant, something shifts. Guido finds himself torn between the world that raised him and the one she is opening up for him.

Tommaso Usberti (1989) is an Italian-French director based in Paris. His short film Deux égarés sont morts won the Cinéfondation Third Prize at Cannes 2017, and in 2019 he was selected for La Résidence de la Cinéfondation. Prima della guerra is his first feature. Raised in Piadena, Italy, he moved to Paris for his studies and now works between Italy and France.
